Checked the mail box...dissapointment:(
Good morning ladies:) I had planned on doing a tutorial on making your own baby wash/shampoo so that you could have the recipe it you would like to make it and use it in the Baby Wipes recipe from yesterday! I had ordered some ingredients for it online and the were supposed to be here yesterday...well they didn't come:( So here is the recipe!
Baby Wash/Shampoo
1 c Distilled Water
2 Tbls Liquid Castile Soap-(Amazon.com-what i am waiting for:()
1 Tbls Vegetable Glycerin(soapgoods.com)
6 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil(soapgoods.com)
Pour everything into a plastic bottle( old soap bottle works)
Shake until blended together completely
Presto! Baby Wash:)
The wipes also call for baby oil. I meant to mention that if you don't have or want to use baby oil. you can always use Olive oil.(extra virgin olive oil works as well)
I have some crafts and tutorials planned for today but i have a very crabby baby! ill see what i can get done, no promises:)

Baby Wipes
Ok so baby stuff can be super expensive! Plus there are always products that are popping up as bad for baby! Currently heard about Johnson and Johnson big NO-NO....google it! you mommas should know about it:/ Anyway, one thing I feel like we buy weekly is baby wipes! So here is a recipe for homemade baby wipes :)
You will need:
1 Tbls Baby Oil or Olive Oil
2 Tbls Baby Wash ( I have a recipe for this too, so you know exactly what you are putting on your baby's sensitive skin)
2 Cups Water that has been boiled and cooled to room temperature
1 Roll of Viva paper towels
a sharp serrated knife to cut paper towel roll in half
an airtight container to store the wipes(i bought a lock tight Tupperware container at walmart)
Directions:
*Boil the water and let cool while preparing everything else!
*Cut the roll of paper towels in half and store one half for the next batch, after you cut it in half-remove the inner cardboard core(this can be tricky but after you master it, it will take no time!!)
*Mix liquid ingredients in your container.
*Place the paper towel half in the container with the cut side facing downward.
*Secure lid, and allow to sit until all liquid has been soaked up in the roll of paper towels and are fully saturated( you can add a little more water and baby oil if needed)
*Turn the container upside down for about 10 mins.
*Open container and "start" the roll by pulling a towel from the middle of the roll.
*Wipes are ready to use:)
Super easy!!
Now for the mamas that like to use feminine wipes you can use the same recipe, only instead of Baby wash you could use your favorite Feminine wash!
Hope you guys enjoy this recipe! so easy and cheap!
( i had pictures of the whole process but guess who hit the wrong button on her camera and deleted everything? this kid!)
Thanks for reading! <3 Maranda

I meant to start this blog a week or two after we came home from the hospital, but it didn't work out that way! My son was born on December 22, 2011 at 4:05 a.m. He weighed 7lbs even and was 19 1/4 inches long. He was exactly 4 weeks early! I know right?!?!?! 7 lbs four weeks early! We had to stay in the hospital for a full week because he wasn't feeding like he should. Now we have breastfeeding down pat! That's right, I breastfeed:) We also cloth Diaper! My son is the love of my life! Besides my husband, but that is a different kind of love. My husband and I have been married for a little over a year and couldn't imagine life with out him! We have our ups and downs but who doesn't?
A little about myself...I love music, dance, photography, hot bubble baths and Chamomile tea. I am obsessed with Pinterest and Etsy:) I'm a facebook junkie and a bit of a foodie! I like red wine and slow soft music. I am sarcastic, outgoing and bubbly. What you see is what you get. I am bull headed, set in my ways and most of the time I think I'm right. ( A weakness, I know!) I hate Chuck Norris jokes and people who think they are "Ghetto". (lol)
I am starting this blog for a few different reasons. I stay home with my son and I have learned a few different things. #1 We are Broke. #2 Most of the things we use, I can make myself. and #3 I am tired of putting crap into and on mine, my son and husbands bodies that are not good for us! So my blogging goal is: to share tips, tricks and recipes for all natural products and foods that are just as good as name brand store bought products but are way better for you! I will be posting recipes for dishes, cleaning products, beauty products, baby products and sewing projects that are super easy and natural! Stick with me! I promise to make it worth it:)
